Office and business moves in Croydon
Croydon has more office floorspace than most places outside a city centre, a good deal of it in tall buildings, plus the retail and industrial corridor along Purley Way. Commercial moves here are scheduled around a lease and a goods lift rather than around a household.
Purley Way units are easy to access and hard to schedule. Town-centre floors are the reverse.
What a commercial move involves
Town-centre floors
The constraint is almost always the goods lift and the bay. A floor of desks is a lot of crate movements, and a lift booked for a short window turns a manageable evening into an impossible one.
We establish the lift capacity, the booking rules and the bay arrangement before quoting, because two identical floors in two different buildings are genuinely different jobs.
Purley Way and the industrial corridor
Physical access here is good — the units are built for lorries and there is room to work. What decides these jobs is contractual: the lease handover date, the site security, and who signs off the condition of the unit.
They tend to be the most predictable commercial jobs we run, provided the destination is genuinely ready.
Records, stock and confidentiality
Client files, HR records and anything carrying personal data move on a numbered, listed basis so there is an auditable record of what went where. For a lot of businesses that is the part that matters most.
Retail and warehouse stock is handled the same way, with a list that lets you reconcile afterwards rather than trust.
What we do not do
We do not reconnect servers, configure networks or certify electrical work. We carry, place and protect; your IT and facilities people do the rest.
And we will not promise a Monday start in a building we have not surveyed. If the lift booking falls through, goodwill does not move desks.

Questions about office moves
- 01
Can you move us at the weekend?
Yes, where the building and the lease allow — established at the building survey, which comes before the quote.
- 02
Do you provide crates?
Reusable crates delivered ahead and collected afterwards. Quicker to fill and empty than cartons, and there is no flattened cardboard left behind.
- 03
Who packs the desks?
Usually staff pack their own crate, which works if they get them early. Alternatively we pack them. It appears as a line on the quote whichever way you go.
- 04
Will you handle IT?
We disconnect, carry and place. Reconnection and configuration stay with your IT provider.
- 05
Can you store furniture we are not taking?
Yes, on the same listed basis, while you decide whether to sell or dispose of it.
